Pediatric Dentistry

Pediatric Dentistry is a branch of dentistry specializing in diagnosing and treating dental problems in infants, children, and teenagers.

Many parents will ask why worry about baby teeth when they're going to fall out? Baby teeth are important for a child to chew food and speak, they also save space for your child's permanent teeth. Primary teeth decay can cause abscessed teeth and toothache. Studies have shown that children with tooth decay have a harder time concentrating on studies and miss more days at school.

Children begin to get their baby teeth between the age of 6 - 12 months of their life and develop their full set of primary teeth by the age of 3. Their primary teeth start to shed and permanent teeth begin to erupt by the age of 6 - 7. Early examination and preventive care will protect your child's smile now and in the future.

At SmileZone Dental studio, we do everything we can to make your child's experience fun and fearless. Our goals are to help minimize early-childhood decay and restore teeth that have cavities that may cause children discomfort and pain.
